Alyce was our doula for our third birth and I wish she had been there for all of them.

She is kind, thoughtful, professional and knowledgeable. I booked her service in my third trimester after much research and preparation. I knew something was missing, and Alyce made the experience complete. She provided support above and beyond what I expected at all stages of the birth. I needed someone to help me focus and feel supported at the end of the pregnancy and our meet ups and frequent text conversations helped me to prepare for the birth. On the day of the birth, Alyce thought of everything. She made sure I was always cared for with food, water, and checking in to see how I was feeling the labour was progressing. She set the room up at the hospital beautifully and advocated for me. She ensured I was comfortable, hydrated and was willing to do anything that was needed. My birth was exactly how I wanted and I am so thankful Alyce was there to help it all go smoothly. Post birth she continued the support and she just instinctively knows what new mums need. I would highly recommend Alyce and am grateful to have had her as a part of our birth journey.

I will be forever thankful I had Alyce as my doula for my second pregnancy and birth. She provided an enormous amount of support and reassurance throughout my pregnancy and was always communicative, kind, and encouraging. She helped me navigate weeks of prodromal labour which was deeply psychologically challenging, and when it was time to birth my baby she was exactly what you would want - confident, knowledgeable, encouraging, efficient, and extremely calm under pressure, particularly when things happened much faster and chaotically than anticipated!

I will never forget the really personal touches to Alyce’s care, particularly the shower she helped me have after I birthed my baby, the beautiful photos she captured of his entrance to the world, and her warm and comforting postpartum visits.

Alyce is the kind of doula who is truly there to support you in your experience, however that may look. She is non-judgmental and has no personal agenda or bias, nor does she harbour animosity towards midwifery and obstetric staff. She is a calming presence when you need one, but you never question that she would advocate fiercely for you in a second if you needed it.

I can’t recommend Alyce highly enough. Having her as my doula was easily the best investment I made during this pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! Oh, and she makes a mean chocolate chip cookie.

As a first time mum everything seemed super overwhelming! Having Alyce’s knowledge, encouragement and support was an experience you couldn’t put a price on! Even though my birth had a change of direction, Alyce adapted the course of action and aided my needs & I mean all my needs! She isn’t judgemental or afraid of what you need of her.

I can positively say that I would not have had the most incredible labour & birth experience if I didn’t have Alyce’s support and love.
Not only was she there for myself but she was also there supporting my partner through the tough times of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
She is lovely, radiates happiness, calm and just a beautiful soul.

I had a really challenging first postpartum with trouble breastfeeding and getting an infection. I was so nervous about doing it again - and with a toddler- so I engaged Alyce for support.

She was so warm and understanding from the start.

She helped ease my worries with birth and early postpartum planning. Alyce is a jack of all trades with cooking nourishing meals and snacks, photography, folding washing and knowing what needs to be done without asking.

My little family is so thankful to have had her help.

I’m so thankful I had Alyce as part of my birthing journey. We met at 36 weeks right after I was approved to go ahead with a VBAC. Not only was the timing of meeting her serendipitous, but I felt called to have her as our doula as she has such a warm, nurturing and supportive presence that I felt comfortable bringing into my birth space.

Prior to labour we met twice and she helped me create a birthing plan based on all the various scenarios/interventions that could happen during birth. She generously shared her knowledge, resources, books, and tools with me. With her support I felt I could just relax in my final few weeks rather than over-thinking it all.

During the labor I was struggling with feeling tense from a 2 day at-home labour period and dealing with painful back labour contractions. I was so sure I would be taking epidural once getting to the hospital. However Alyce was amazing in calming me through various relaxation techniques, breathing, and optimal positions to reduce my pains. When things ramped up and I moved into active labour, her emotional support and encouragement was invaluable… I ended up vaginally birthing a 4.6 kg baby, with a short pushing period and only using gas & air, which is something I never thought I could do. The birth left me feeling empowered and confident in myself!

Having Alyce post-birth was also such a lovely experience. I cannot recommend Alyce highly enough to anyone seeking a doula!

Alyce was so incredible in supporting me in welcoming my fourth birth. She was kind, supportive and knowledgeable and I was able to build up a fantastic birth plan that I could utilise even when things didn’t go to plan and I had a c section birth.

In addition to this, the support during my postpartum is invaluable and has been amazing. From the chats, to the debriefs and the hands on help with amazing food and some things around the house. Not to mention amazing foot spas and massages!

I would highly recommend Alyce to anyone looking for a doula. I could not fault her support and anyone would be lucky to have her in their corner.
